Is Claire going to become the Bad Seed on The Young and the Restless once again? 

Hayley Erin and The Young and the Restless threw us for a loop when sweet, nice, likeable Claire turned out to be a demon seed who helped her Aunt Jordan kidnap Nikki and threaten the lives of the Newmans. Sure, all was forgiven when it was discovered that Claire had been lied to for decades, but is she truly as nice as she's perceived?

The Young and the Restless, The Bad Seed

Diane (Susan Walters) made a pointed remark to Kyle (Michael Mealor) months ago about Claire. Like a good helicopter mom, she noted that it wasn't all that long ago that Claire was showing a very different side to herself.

Soon after Claire arrived on the Genoa City scene as Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) assistant, we saw a very dark side indeed. Claire had been duped by her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) into believing that the Newmans didn't love her. Claire conspired with Jordan to attack the Newmans. Nikki was their first victim. The Newman matriarch was held against her will, and vodka was fed intravenously into her system, causing the alcoholic Nikki to relapse.

We've seen a fire be lit underneath Claire as she has it out for Audra (Zulekya Silver) because she attempted to seduce Kyle (Michael Mealor) away from her. It'd be one thing if Audra truly loved Kyle, but Claire knows fully well that Audra was just in it for the money.

Claire marched up to Nate (Sean Dominic) and told him what Audra was up to, and that led to a rift in Nate and Audra's relationship. Click here to see how powerful Dominic was in those scenes.

What will Claire do

What if Claire goes off the deep end and tries to exact revenge on Audra on a larger scale? This scenario could play out if Claire leans into the Aunt Jordan side of the family.

Audra has very little to lose right now. She's lost Victor's funding for Vibrante, and now, she may have lost Nate. But Claire's the one who has the potential to be dangerous.

Jordan may have fed her a pack of lies, but Claire is a grown woman. She chose to do illegal things to the Newmans and hoped to get away with her crimes. Audra's tenacious. If she keeps coming back, as Audra tends to do, Claire may, in turn, go all out and try to make Audra pay for her duplicity.

What form could that take? If Claire embraces the dark side once more, the sky's the limit. It'd be ironic for Victor to have finally put aside his active plan to rid his granddaughter of Kyle, only to have Claire do something that would tear her and her love apart!
