The Young and the Restless is set to feature the country star sisters of Tigirlily, who come to Genoa City in connection with Devon Hamilton's (Bryton James) record label.
Many stars have come and gone through The Young and the Restless' Genoa City, and the CBS soap's fictional town is about to play host to one of the most popular up-and-coming country duos in the nation. Sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh of Tigirlily (pronounced Tie-Girl-Lilly) are set to appear on Y&R on Thursday, July 22.
TV Insider reports that the sisters' appearance will be "both organic and synergistic," as they will be appearing as themselves in connection to the record company owned by Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Apparently, Tigirlily will be encountering "some enthusiastic fans while in Genoa City."
Natives of North Dakota, the Slaubaugh sisters were inspired by The Chicks, Sugarland, and Rascal Flatts, and quickly learned to effortlessly blend their voices to create rich and robust harmonies. They built their audience by embracing online platforms like YouTube and by performing in states such as North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Minnesota. They later relocated to Nashville and have since played in over 130 shows, opening for artists like Leann Rimes, Big and Rich, Justin Moore, and Chris Janson.
