Richard Burgi says The Young and the Restless' Ashland Locke will bring hell all summer long

Richard Burgi reveals that he's been asked to stay at The Young and the Restless through the summer, which leaves plenty of time for Ashland Locke to make Kyle's (Michael Mealor) life a living hell.

Get ready for a cruel summer on The Young and the Restless, because Richard Burgi will be keeping his antagonistic alter ego, Ashland Locke, in Genoa City for several months to come.

In a new interview with TV Insider, the actor reveals that the powers that be have asked him to stay "probably through the summer" so that the gripping storyline involving Ashland, Kyle (Michael Mealor), Summer (Hunter King), and Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) can play out to full effect.

As viewers have seen, Ashland now knows about Tara's affair with Kyle, and it's only a matter of time before it's confirmed whether or not Tara's son, Harrison (Kellen Enriquez), is actually Kyle's. Even if it turns out that Kyle is not the tot's father, Ashland will likely still seek major revenge on the Abbott heir for crossing him and canoodling with his wife.

Teases Burgi about how dangerous Ashland might get in the days and weeks ahead, "A lot like a woman scorned, I think, men, when they get angry, will go past the part that keeps them in check and keeps them from doing heinous things. He wants people to hurt as much as he is hurting."
