Hunter King previews Skyle drama on The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless' Hunter King gives a peek into Summer Newman's real thoughts about Kyle's (Michael Mealor) past with Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) and the secret child that they share.

Fans of The Young and the Restless' Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) are looking forward to the gorgeous young couple finally getting a happily ever after, but they're probably going to have to survive a few unhappily ever after moments first. After all, Summer is currently dealing with the very messy situation of Kyle finding out that he fathered a baby during his years-ago affair with Tara (Elizabeth Leiner), who has been lying to her powerful husband, Ashland (Richard Burgi), about the child's true paternity.

In an interview with TV Source Magazine, King reveals that while Summer seems chill with the explosive situation that her lover has found himself in, she might not be as supportive and understanding as she appears to be.

"I don't think Summer wants to admit it, because Summer likes to think of herself as a confident young woman, but I do think there is a little bit of insecurity when it comes to Tara," King shares. "She sees the connection that Kyle and Tara had and still have. Maybe in her mind she sees something that isn't there or maybe it is there, so I definitely think there are some insecurities there that she doesn't necessarily want to own up to."

The fact that Kyle and Tara share a child obviously doesn't ease Summer's insecurities, and King reveals that her alter ego is definitely threatened by the thought of Harrison being a part of Kyle's life -- at least somewhat.

"Summer loves Kyle unconditionally and accepts him as he is and, if that means Kyle has a child, then Summer accepts that and will roll with the punches," King says. "But I think it definitely stems back to Tara and the insecurities of what it means that Kyle and this woman from his past now share a child and if that's going to affect their future in some way."

However, it's possible that Tara will be the least of Summer's problems -- particularly if the vengeful Ashland decides to make Kyle's life a living hell for knocking up his wife.

"Fans definitely need to keep watching to see what happens between the four of them," King previews with a cheeky grin. "Things just keep on getting more interesting as time goes on. Just when you think 'Okay, this is what we know is going on' something else happens."
