The Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Abbott family member recast

Things are going to look a little different around the Abbott mansion. The CBS soap has opted to recast a role that's been on the canvas for nearly three years.

There's a shift coming to the Abbott family. Starting next month, Redding Munsell will take over the role of Harrison Abbott.

Harrison Abbott, the biological son of Kyle Abbott and Tara Locke, and the adopted son of Summer Newman, first appeared on May 14, 2021. The role was previously portrayed by Kellen Enriquez.

In current story, Harrison has been struggling with Kyle and Summer's fractured relationship.

Munsell appeared in the film Red, White, and Blue, which was nominated this year for Best Live Action Short Film at the Academy Awards.

The young actor will also appear in the upcoming feature film Hurricanna opposite Sylvia Hoeks. The film tells the story of centerfold, actress, and TV personality Anna Nicole Smith.

Munsell will make his soap opera debut on Friday, April 12.
