It's a Rosales family affair! The Young and the Restless has called Eva LaRue and Jason Canela to reprise their roles of Rey's (Jordi Vilasuso) mom and brother, Celeste and Arturo.
The Young and the Restless is ending 2020 with an extravaganza that will bring back two Rosales family members. The upcoming New Year's Eve wedding being planned for Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon (Sharon Case) will include guests Eva LaRue as the groom's mother, Celeste, and Jason Canela as his brother, Arturo.
As Soap Central previously reported, Canela took to Instagram Stories in late November with a tease that he was back at the CBS studios, which had many fans guessing that he would be back for Rey's wedding. The addition of LaRue on the wedding guest list, however, is a huge and fun surprise.
According to Soap Opera Digest, the pair will return to the canvas on Wednesday, December 30 -- the day that the celebratory nuptials begin. Unfortunately, the show is keeping mum about how long they'll be sticking around on the canvas. Here's hoping they'll still be in Genoa City when 2021 officially begins!

Canela originally took on the role of Arturo in 2018, becoming the CBS soap's first Rosales family member. He was written off the show in 2019. Prior to joining Y&R, the actor starred alongside All My Children alum Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos) in the baseball series Pitch and in the Spanish series Donde Esta Elisa, Cosita Linda, and Ruta 35. Since leaving Y&R, he has been doing voiceover work for video games like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Far Cry 6.
Eva LaRue rose to soap opera fame playing All My Children doctor Maria Santos, a role she held from 1993 to 1997, and from 2002 to 2005. She made a brief appearance in 2010 for AMC's 40th anniversary and reprised the role again in 2011 when the show wrapped up its run on ABC. She joined the cast of Y&R for a story arc in 2019 and won a Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Guest Performer category for her work on the show.
