With Chelsea back in Genoa City it seemed like only a matter of time before her mom popped up in town again. Sure enough, Catherine Bach will reprise her role as Anita Lawson, beginning next month.
It's been nearly 18 months since Catherine Bach last stepped into the shoes of her Genoa City alter ego Anita Lawson. That lengthy hiatus is about to come to an end as the former The Dukes of Hazzard star will return to The Young and the Restless next month.

Anita's return isn't exactly unexpected -- nor was her absence. Anita's last appearance in February 2018 came right around the time of her on-screen daughter Melissa Claire Egan's (Chelsea Lawson) exit from the CBS soap. Now that Egan in back on-screen, it makes sense that her fictional mom would be, too.
Bach, who's world-famous for her role as Daisy Duke, joined Y&R as Chelsea's fraudster mother in 2012 and has appeared on-again, off-again in a recurring capacity since then.
It's unclear at this time if Anita will be dropping in for a single appearance or a handful of appearances, or if she'll be sticking around longer.
