The Emmy-winning talk show is set to host the Genoa City staples on Friday, January 18. And while there aren't any details yet about what the fab four are set to discuss, one can only hope their appearance allows them to spill all of the drama headed to the CBS soap opera now that it has entered a new year with a new executive producer and head writer set to take the reins.

As Soap Central previously reported, Mal Young stepped down from his EP and head writer positions just before Christmas. Y&R has yet to officially name successors to Young, but St. John shared on social media that former head writer and co-executive producer Josh Griffith, who returned to Y&R in August, is expected to take over as head writer. Meanwhile, Anthony "Tony" Morina, who has been with the series since 2004, is said to be taking over as the new executive producer.
While Y&R made news during the holiday season for its behind-the-scenes executive producer shakeup, The Talk also made headlines this past December. Following the resignation of longtime co-host Julie Chen, Variety announced on December 6, 2018, that former guest host Carrie Ann Inaba had been chosen to replace Chen as a permanent co-host. She made her official co-host debut on January 2, 2019.
