The Young and the Restless' Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) is headed back to work. The actor has been on an extended leave from the CBS soap while under the care of a physician.

Emmy winner Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) is set to return to work at The Young and the Restless next week. The actor has been off-screen for nearly four months due to some personal matters.

According to Entertainment Weekly, St. John took a leave of absence in October "to undergo psychiatric treatment after a reported scare regarding his mental health."

St. John has been open about his personal battles with depression following the death of his son, Julian, just over three years ago. Julian's death, which was ruled a suicide, resulted in a lawsuit against the facility that had been charged with Julian's care.

Last week, St. John took to Instagram to announce his "comeback" and added that he was "#indacut" and "ready." The actor's post quickly drew thousands of likes and messages of support and encouragement from fans.

St. John's on-air return will happen sometime in mid-April, and Neil will find that much has changed in Genoa City since he last set foot in town.
