The casting department at The Young and the Restless has its hands full with four new characters slated for the canvas.
It looks like several new faces are on the way to Genoa City. The Young and the Restless has reportedly put out casting calls for four new characters, two of which are contract roles and all of which sound ready to spice up the canvas in some way or another.
The first is the contract role of Claire, a 20-something who is described as "fierce, clever, unapologetically ambitious [with] a keen intuition that drives getting what -- and who -- she wants."
Next comes the contract role of Caleb, a mid-20s/early 30s man who's "dashing, handsome, sophisticated and smart" -- but also has a rebellious streak that could stir up a load of trouble.

In addition to the contract roles, the CBS soap is also reportedly searching for a handsome African American actor in his thirties to play the role of Don, as well as a teen actress to take on the role of Ella, who's described as a "lovely, poised, spunky" girl.
At this time, it's unclear when any of the aforementioned characters are slated to hit the canvas, so keep checking back at Soap Central for the latest casting updates from Y&R and all your other favorite daytime dramas.
