Y&R tallies largest audience since January 2017

The Young and the Restless is seeing its ratings trend upward under new show runner Mal Young. The top-rated CBS soap had its largest audience since January 2017.

The Young and the Restless saw its viewership rise to 12-month highs, which is a good sign for the CBS soap as it prepares for the February Sweeps period.

For the week of January 15, 2018, The Young and the Restless pulled in 4.84 million viewers. That was the week that viewers saw Victor walk in on Victoria and J.T. having sex. Cane and Lily decided to get back together. Graham was injected with a toxic substance during a struggle with Dina. On live television, Mariah angrily accused Tessa of stealing the words from Mariah's journal to write a new song.

The 4.84 million total was the show's largest weekly audience since the week of January 2, 2017. This also marks the highest ratings for Y&R under executive producer/head writer Mal Young. His previous high took place just a few weeks earlier during the week of December 25, 2017.
