Michael Roark (Travis Crawford), who wrapped his time on The Young and the Restless this week, leaves a farewell message for fans.
It's for real: The Young and the Restless' Travis Crawford is really gone.
His portrayer, Michael Roark, took to Twitter to share his reasons for walking away from the CBS soap and his appreciation to the fans.
"Love you," he began in a extended goodbye note. "I made the decision to move onto the next challenge in my career. Thank you fans for your support and for welcoming me, this has been an unexpected and special chapter for me. Special thanks for Amelia Heinle [Victoria Newman] for being everything she is and to the CBS family, past and present, for allowing me to bring Travis Crawford to the canvas including: [executive producer] Mal Young, [casting director] Judy B Wilson, [former EP] Jill Phelps, [writer] Tracy Thompson, [head of CBS Daytime] Angelica McDaniel and [senior EVP of programming for Sony] Steve Kent."

He continues, "We hope you enjoyed our Tricky story. I know fans may be disappointed in the recent turn in their story so I offer this... Travis loves Victoria. Always has... but he never took the care to look inward and address his demons after his life crashed the first time. He ran away to a bar and then to a boat and life humbled him again, as it does... and he was only as strong as the weakest part of him... but ya never know if Travis may return to GC one day, maybe a wiser man."
Roark also posted a photo of him outside the CBS studios, which he captioned, "So long y'all, goodbye note says it. Ill miss bringing you Travis Crawford, cu soon on the next one."
Roark -- whose credits include Beauty and the Beast, Finding Carter, Grey's Anatomy, and Sleepy Hollow -- joined Y&R earlier this year.
