Y&R Emmy-winner Jessica Collins ties the knot

New Daytime Emmy winner The Young and the Restless alum Jessica Collins (ex-Avery Clark) went and got herself hitched this week!

Upon winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress this past Sunday, The Young and the Restless' Jessica Collins (ex-Avery Clark) exclaimed that the win in addition to welcoming her new daughter, Jemma, 13 weeks ago meant life couldn't get any better. But apparently she was wrong, because the daytime alum just got married, too.

The actress took to Instagram on May 4 to announce that she and Michael Cooney became husband and wife. "Just when I thought the week couldn't get any better," she captioned a photo of their wedding rings, adding "#Mr&Mrs #Hitched #JustMarried #PerfectDay"

Collins, who got her start in daytime as Loving's Dinah Mayberry in 1991, left Y&R last summer. She and Cooney welcomed their first child, Jemma Kate Collins Cooney, on January 23, 2016. Collins raved about her new baby in our 2016 Daytime Emmy Red Carpet videos with Dan J Kroll -- and you can watch more than three dozen other interviews here.
