New youngster headed to Y&R

The Young and the Restless is on the hunt for a child actor, but for what role?

The Young and the Restless is reportedly searching for a boy in the 8 to 9 age range to play an upcoming major recurring character.

The casting announcement says the youngster, named Tommy, comes from a broken home and has been shuffled back and forth between his mom and dad so much over the years, he hardly knows either of them.

Fans are already speculating on who this mystery boy could be, with some guessing he's perhaps the often-mentioned son of Stitch (Sean Carrigan). However, with Carrigan set to leave the canvas during November Sweeps, others are guessing he might be Victoria's son, Reed, who currently lives with his dad, J.T. (Thad Luckinbill), in Washington DC.

Reps for Y&R have yet to comment on the character, so Tommy's true identity is anybody's guess.
