The Internet is abuzz with rumors that The Young and the Restlee wants Billy Miller to return to his role as Billy Abbott.
June has only just begun, and it's already shaping up to be quite an exciting month for soap opera fans. As the summer heats up, so does the rumor that if The Young and the Restless execs have their way they would poach Billy Miller (Jason Morgan) from General Hospital and have him reprise the role of Billy Abbott.
Numerous websites, including Daytime Confidential, report that multiple sources have confirmed Y&R would love to have Miller return as Billy and will do everything they can to fight for the actor once his GH contract is up this October. And considering the actor is popular with both the Genoa City and Port Charles crowds, there could be a bidding war between the two soaps for the Emmy winner.
After Miller exited Y&R in early 2014, the soap briefly recast David Tom in the role of Billy before replacing him four months later with Jenkins. Though Jenkins has been able to hold his own as Jill Foster's (Jess Walton) son, he hasn't yet been able to achieve the popularity Miller earned in the role.
While reps at Y&R have yet to comment on the news, ABC executive Nathan Varni assured a fan via Twitter that the casting news is just a rumor.
Are you hoping Y&R manages to convince Miller to return, or would you rather he stay put in GH's Port Charles? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
