Mckenna Grace will soon be trading Genoa City for the big screen.
Fighting aliens might be an out of this world task for most children, but if anyone can do it, it would be The Young and the Restless' Mckenna Grace.
The eight-year-old actress has been cast as Daisy in Independence Day 2, the 20th Century Fox sequel to 1996's box office sci-fi smash of the same name, and considering she's been front and center in a Y&R child custody battle storyline, taking on extraterrestrials seems like it would be a piece of cake.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon's (Sharon Case) on-screen daughter joins previously announced cast members Liam Hemsworth, Maika Monroe, Jessie Usher, Travis Tope, Joey King, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lance Lim, and Sela Ward in the film, which is being directed by Roland Emmerich.
At this time, there's no word on whether or not the actress' new role will affect her Y&R screen time.
Look for Independence Day 2 to hit theaters next summer.
