To Morrow more tomorrows with Y&R

Not all casting news is about folks coming and going. Sometimes there are stories about performers staying put. Fans of Joshua Morrow will be pleased to know that the Emmy-nominated performer has signed a new long-term contract with The Young and the Restless.

Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) has signed a new multi-year deal that will keep him on The Young and the Restless well into the next decade.

"I'm happy to know where I'm going to be for the next five years," Morrow stated. "For me, it's all about staying home with my family. I love being able to take my kids to school and pick them up afterwards most days."

Morrow joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in June 1994 at the age of 19. Now nearly 13 years later, Morrow's alter ego should be celebrating his 19th birthday later this year. How is that possible? Nicholas was born on-screen on New Year's Eve 1988 - but thanks to some creative time play by Y&R's writing team the character was "aged" to accommodate storyline.

In addition to his work on The Young and the Restless, Morrow also actively participates in charitable causes. The actor will notch his third race in annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celeb Race. The event raises money for children's hospitals in Long Beach and Orange Counties in California. Morrow is also a founding board member of TV Cares, the fundraising and charity arm of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Morrow is a five-time Daytime Emmy nominee with five consecutive nominations in the Outstanding Younger Leading Actor starting in 1996 and ending in 2000. The actor was pre-nominated for a Supporting Actor nod in 2006.
