The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful are more than just sister shows on CBS. Often, characters from one of the shows have crossed over to the other, interweaving their storylines between Genoa City and Los Angeles.
Sometimes, the character cameos just offered fans the treat of seeing some of their favorite faces in a new setting. Other times, the character remained and became a regular on the other show. These are ten of our favorite crossovers:
Sheila Carter

In 1992, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was the first character from The Young and the Restless to cross over to The Bold and the Beautiful. Sheila continued to pop up on both shows, wreaking havoc and terror for many characters, especially Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman).
Currently, Sheila is a regular character on The Bold and the Beautiful, and has settled into a peaceful life with her husband, Deacon Sharpe.
Lauren Fenmore
Lauren also racked up some frequent flyer points visiting The Bold and the Beautiful. Not only did she have business in town, but she was also a long-time target of Sheila. They crossed paths on both shows. Lauren made L.A. her home from 1995 to 1999, appearing in 377 episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, but she later returned to The Young and the Restless.
Victor Newman
In 1999, Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden) crossover to The Bold and the Beautiful made Ridge (then-Ronn Moss) jealous. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) asked Eric to do her a favor and kiss her at an intimate dinner table next to a restaurant fireplace. "I've been asked many favors in my lifetime, but never one that I'd so willingly grant," Victor said. He rose from the table and paused. He asked if Brooke was "sure about this," and when she insisted she was sure, he leaned over and planted one on her.
Eric Forrester
Eric (John McCook) managed to survive being married to Sheila Carter, but because of his relationships with Sheila and others, he was able to forewarn some Genoa City residents of impending doom. From phone calls to Lauren to a visit to warn Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) about Sheila, Eric made several appearances on The Young and the Restless and also had visits from Y&R characters in L.A.
Eric also flew to Genoa City to be present for both Michael and Lauren's and Victor and Nikki's weddings.
Katherine Chancellor
In 2005, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) was introduced to Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) by Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo). Katherine knew Stephanie's father, John Douglas, and it was revealed that Katherine was the owner of Forrester Creations. The company was under the thumb of the Stephanie Douglas Trust, and Stephanie wanted to reclaim it from Eric.
Katherine recalled John telling her that he knew how much Stephanie loved Eric. "He knew how upset and hurt you would be if you knew he didn't trust the man that you married," Katherine told Stephanie. Katherine gave Stephanie control of her trust company before returning to Genoa City.
Ashley Abbott
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) had several appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful. Ashley moved to L.A. to work for Forrester Originals, where she created a fragrance for Eric's new fashion house. Ashley's daughter, Abby, also joined her mom on the show. They visited Genoa City for one of Victor's weddings and for the launch of Restless Style magazine. Ashley also had crossover visits in L.A. from Y&R's Jack (Peter Bergman) and his then-wife Sharon (Sharon Case). She returned to The Young and the Restless and splits time between Genoa City and Paris.
Christine Blair
Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) went to L.A. to help Ridge get the charges dropped when he was accused of murdering Shane McGrath (Dax Griffin) in 2007. In a more recent crossover, Christine made a B&B appearance in 2024 with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). They stopped in L.A. as part of Danny's world tour, and Danny did a performance at the Forrester mansion, singing a remix of his song "Rock On."
Amber Moore
In 1997, Adrienne Franz originated the role of Amber Moore on The Bold and the Beautiful. Her romance and marriage to young Rick Forrester were a bone of contention for the Forrester family. At one point, Amber didn't know if she was pregnant with Rick's baby or if the father was her high school friend Raymond Usher—played by musician Usher. (Yes, that one!) Amber was able to redeem herself with the Forresters by saving Stephanie when Sheila was about to kill her.
In 2006, Amber moved to Genoa City and was married to both Cane Ashby and Daniel Romalotti while on The Young and the Restless. In 2010, Amber returned to The Bold and the Beautiful when she was asked to work at Jackie M as a designer.
Deacon Sharpe
Hope Logan's (Annika Noelle) father, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), has spent most of his time on The Bold and the Beautiful, but from 2009 to 2012, he moved to Genoa City. A dastardly scoundrel who has been in and out of prison fewer times than he should have, Deacon has been involved with (and even married to) some high-profile women on both shows. Deacon has left a string of broken hearts along the way, from Nikki Newman to Macy Alexander to Bridget Forrester, but his true loves couldn't be further opposites: Brooke Logan and Sheila Carter.
Sally Spectra
Courtney Hope originated the role of Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2017 and still plays the character on The Young and the Restless. Sally is the great-niece and namesake of B&B's legendary fashion house owner, played by Darlene Conley. While on The Bold and the Beautiful, Sally was involved with Thomas Forrester, Liam Spencer, and Wyatt Spencer.
Sally's life was chaotic in L.A. She was charged with grand larceny and industrial espionage; pulled a gun on Wyatt and shot at his dad, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont); kidnapped Flo (Katrina Bowden); and pretended to be dying. Wanting a new life, Sally moved to The Young and the Restless' Genoa City in 2020 and has been there ever since.
Sally's arrival in Genoa City prompted Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman to do a crossover of their own to find out more about Sally from Wyatt and Flo. When Bill Spencer came to Genoa City, he warned Sally not to return to L.A. and to stay away from his son Wyatt.
Sally put her L.A. life behind her and got to work in Genoa City. She's been involved with Nick Newman, Jack Abbott, and Adam Newman. Summer and Sally have put behind their differences; Sally now designs for Summer at Marchetti.
The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful air weekdays on CBS.
