The Daily Y.A.P.P For Beyond the Gates, April 3rd

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Naomi arrived early, and when she did, Bill said that she had learnt from her earlier mistake and arrived early, to which Naomi said, “ You got jokes”. Naomi then went on to say that she could have Bill slapped with several different penalties based on his meeting with her clients without Naomi present, but her personal favorite, she said, was getting Bill disbarred. Bill, always being prepared, asked Naomi if she was referring to the statute about that very situation and told her that he thought she was better than that. Storming into his office and threatening to have him disbarred because of her mistake. Naomi counters by saying that she was deliberately misinformed. Bill asks Naomi if she’s paranoid much LOL. Now, we get to witness some of Bill Hamilton's magic that he’s famous for, and he says to Naomi, “You know I don't handle those things. Caroline organized the meeting. Isn't that right, Caroline,” nodding to Caroline standing by the door. So if it wasn't Naomi's error, it must have been Caroline's…Caroline then apologises to Naomi for her carelessness. Naomi says, " No, we all know it wasn't an accident, and you were told to do so. They are interrupted by a knock on the door; Caroline then ushers Naomis clients into the room. Bill says, “Perfect timing, ladies.” And before we get started, I need you to confirm something for your attorney: at our last meeting, did I at any time tell you I did not want your attorney present? The ladies now look awkward as they know that he didn't.

One of the ladies acknowledged that he hadn't said that. Bill then tells them that the Law Offices of Bill Hamiton Esquire are prepared to make an offer they won't want to refuse. Naomi says that Bill has them on the edge of their seats and asks about the offer. Bill, smiling, says, “ How does one million dollars sound, each.” The ladies are stunned, wondering if it could be real, and one asks how soon. Bill grins, and Naomi, who should know better after idolising and watching Bill do this many times, just stares in disbelief. Bill, not quite finished yet, tells Naomi that's not all, far from it. Bill tells them that the firm recognises that some of the policies may need review, and the ladies being present be a committee to review the anti harrassment policy with the point of making the workplace a safer place for all employees and Mike Davis will be the first to tow the line and follow any recommendations that they make. Bill continues, " It will not happen to anyone else at this firm, not on his watch. Bill Hamilton magic at its finest.
