On Beyond the Gates, Kat and Laura are putting 2 and 2 together, but haven’t quite arrived at 4…yet

Beyond the Gates is now circling back to one of its most shocking moments - when Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) ran Laura (Destiny Love) off the road (then, for seemingly no reason). But, now, of course, we know it was to get Eva (Ambyr Michelle) in to infiltrate the Richardsons and set Leslie up to reveal her big dark secret and ruin the Richardsons’ lives.

Now that we’re all caught up, literally everyone in Fairmont Crest is just now realizing that either Eva or Leslie could be behind Laura’s accident. Kat (Colby Muhammad) and Laura are getting dangerously close to cracking this case wide open, except for one teeny tiny problem – evidence. As Jacob (Jibre Hordges) keeps reminding Kat, she has no cold, hard evidence to support anything.

As long as we’ve waited for everyone to figure these things out, though, we’re just glad that someone, anyone, is now thinking clearly and that Leslie may very well finally be about to pay for all of the damage she’s done, especially to Laura, who is completely innocent. All Laura did was her job, and well. She did it so well, in fact, that Leslie figured the only way she could get her out of the picture and make way for Eva to move into the picture was to make an attempt on Laura's life.

Beyond the Gates has a psychopath on the loose

Leslie, funnily enough, mentioned to Jacob that it would appear that Fairmont Crest has a psychopath on the loose. Of course, she would know firsthand, given that it's her. After being caught up on the day's events, Eva ran into Leslie and also rammed into her about trying to throw her to the wolves and "pin her crimes" on her. Although Eva was on the right track before as she went through her mother's impressive catalog of wigs, she ultimately convinced herself that her mother couldn't possibly be capable of trying to murder someone...twice.

Yet, as Kat and Laura put their thinking caps on and really looked at the situation at hand, that's the exact conclusion they came to. They even figured out that someone had to have administered potassium to Laura to cause her heart attack. Kat, of course, raced to Jacob to tell him all about their latest findings, but, again, that e-word came up -- evidence. Where is the evidence? What could they possibly get to show that Leslie (and her wigs) was the culprit all along? Could there possibly be camera footage? Could they find Leslie's deceased husband's motorcycle? Is that even the motorcycle that Leslie used to plow into Laura? While we are so close to unmasking the full-blown truth, it seems that we're also so far away.

Dangerously close is the appropriate term for Kat and Laura's latest findings and brainstorming session because -- what on Earth will Leslie do when she finds out that they're onto her? Kat said she'd speak with security regarding Laura's room and more protection — and even went so far as to promise she wouldn't let a thing happen to her. But, Leslie was able to get into Laura's room before — undetected — so, she may very well be able to do it again, unfortunately.

Let's stay tuned to see how this all plays out. There's no telling how this will all end for anyone involved, but, when it's Beyond the Gates, you know it's gonna be damn good.
