What to Expect on Beyond the Gates

The children know all about the health crisis currently affecting Anita (Tamara Tunie), and it's a good thing that they do, so that they can rally behind their matriarch. In Friday's episode, Dani (Karla Mosley) supports Vernon (Clifton Davis) as Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) offers some unsolicited advice to Anita. Whether this advice is warranted will affect Anita’s response. Will Bill get thrown out of the Duprees' house?

Kat and Tomas

In Friday's episode, Tomas (Alex Alegria) comforts a secretive Kat (Colby Muhammed) while Martin (Brandon Claybon) shares all with Smitty Mike Manning). Why Kat won’t share with Tomas, the person she says she loves and wants to build a future with, is not understood here, but it will more than likely affect how Tomas feels as her partner. While elsewhere at The Brownstone, there are no secrets between Martin and Smitty. Martin is going to need all the support Smitty can give as he prepares himself for Anita’s fight with cancer.

Ted and Eva

In Friday’s episode, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) reaches out to his daughter and surprises her with his stance on the matter at hand. Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) look like they might have a shot at the boyfriend-and-girlfriend thing, and Ted may just surprise Eva by being okay with it and supporting her by having someone in her life to be there for her. This blessing will likely come with a few warnings that he better not break his heart, or Ted will be there with a boot.
