For all the Harry Potter movie fans out there, doesn’t Vigilante in Peacemaker seem familiar to you? Well, it is because Vigilante actor Freddie Stroma was actually in the Harry Potter movies! His character’s name in the Harry Potter movies is Cormac McLaggen.
Yes, the bully who had a huge crush on Hermione. This can be quite a surprise considering the different nature of the two characters. However, this only proves his versatility as an actor. In this series, his character, Adrian Chase, is a seeker of justice with his own ideals.
Vigilante actor Freddie Stroma from Peacemaker was also in Harry Potter
There are quite a lot of surprising facts about this Peacemaker star that fans might not be aware of. Besides his performance as Cormac in the Harry Potter movies, he was also juggling his college degree. Did you know Freddie Stroma holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience?
It is truly interesting to think about how he was able to manage it all. If we consider the differences between Vigilante’s character in Peacemaker and Cormac’s character in Harry Potter, we would be able to see how distinct these two are. The most significant difference between the two characters is the motivation for their actions.

Each of the two roles has been handled amazingly well by Freddie Stroma. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Peacemaker star opens up about his love for neuroscience, and juggling acting alongside it:
“The path was always university and finding a degree that interests you and neuroscience was definitely my main thing — the thing that I found most interesting. I didn’t really know what I wanted. Acting was kind of a dream. I managed to get in it as I was 18, the same year as I started university. So I kind of juggled my degree and went and auditioned and filmed things in London at the same time.”
Even though his role in the Harry Potter movies was smaller compared to the main leads, his impact remained. Through his self-righteous nature, Cormac became a memorable character. Especially if we think about how Cormac’s match with Ron led to Hermione secretly casting a spell, or how Hermione invited Cormac just to make Ron jealous, which turned into a disaster.

Cormac’s moments in the series are quite memorable. While discussing how the Harry Potter movies helped him in his acting, the Peacemaker star says,
“It was definitely the first time in my career that I had to do some pretty extensive green screen work. And that was the first time I realized how challenging it was to be up on a broom that was essentially a bucking bronco, many feet in the air, harnessed….That was a very steep learning curve for me doing that. But, definitely, yeah, doing different things, you certainly get better at it.”
It is truly intriguing to see how much Freddie Stroma has transitioned as an actor. Through each of his performances, he garnered experiences that honed his talent.
