Netflix has ruined saying 'Hello, you' to people. When the show was released in 2018, it became one of the most-watched shows on the platform. Penn Badgley, along with the entire cast, received critical acclaim, and fans fell in love with every muse Joe (Penn Badgley) fell in love with each season.
But there was another thing that kept fans glued to the TV series till it ended this year, and it was Joe's little hobby of killing people. For those of you who don't know, the show is about Joe, who loves way too hard and takes the saying "I would kill for you" too seriously.
Over the five seasons, he accumulated a heavy kill count, while some deaths were quick and easy, others left a lasting mark on the fans. The death had everyone gasping for air, and gave them nightmares for days. The only thing that fixed the nightmares was watching another season.
10 Murders in You ranked by their intensity
Here are all the murders committed by Joe, ranked according to how gruesome they were, and by the level of depression they gave all the fans.
10) Natalie Engler

Joe's friendly neighbour, Natalie, met her end in the hands of Love when she became too comfortable with Joe. Her flirty, friendly, and lively nature got her a guillotine seat. She was introduced in season 3 episode 1 and died by the end of the episode when Love kills her with a meat cleaver when she found Natalie's panties in Joe's belongings.
9) Malcolm Harding

Just like Natalie, Malcolm also had a short introduction and a quick exit from the show. Also, both were corpses by the end of the first episode. In season 4, episode 1, Malcolm Harding is Joe's (now going by Prof. Jonathan Moore) colleague at Darcy College. He was the first victim of the 'Eat the Rich' killer and was found stabbed in the heart on Joe's table.
8) Jasper

If you ever want to rate Joe on how good a serial killer he was, keep Jasper from You Season 2 as your reference. If Jasper's murder was The Starry Night, then 'taking care' of his corpse was Mona Lisa. Jasper came looking for 'Will' because he owed him money. He cut off Joe's finger (thinking he was Will) and took it as collateral.
When Joe realizes he can't pay the huge amount the real Will owes Jasper, he kills him. He not only kills him, but, like a true professional serial killer that he is, Joe takes his body to his storage unit and dismembers it with a meat grinder and a chainsaw. He even cleans up after himself. And the amazing part is he does all this while missing a finger.
7) Ron

Whatever happened to Ron, he had it coming. He abused Joe's neighbor, Claudia, and terrorized her little son, Paco. Joe befriends Paco, and that's when the countdown starts for Ron. Everyone knows the one rule of befriending Joe: he will go to any lengths to save you from any danger, and that's exactly what he did. He strangled Ron in the alleyway and saved Claudia and Paco from a far worse future.
6) Rhys Montrose

One of the most painful deaths given to anyone was given to poor Rhys Montrose. The poor man died for nothing. While Joe thought that Rhys Montrose was the 'Eat the Rich' killer who kept torturing Joe throughout the series, it was later revealed that that wasn't the case. Joe was imagining him and had never even met the real Rhys.
But this wasn't revealed until Rhys was dead. Joe attacked him, stripping and binding him to a chair, thinking he had kidnapped Marienne Bellamy. Rhys kept pleading his innocence, but Joe had seen proof of Marienne being held in a cage somewhere by 'Rhys.' So, Joe did what he does best: he killed him in a fit of rage, but not before making him go through a painful 'crouch area' torture.
5) Benji

Benji was Joe's first victim that the viewers saw on screen. He was Beck's annoying and criminally entitled situationship. When Joe realized that Benji was not the guy for Beck and that she was too naive to see that she deserved better, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He lures Benji into an empty place and kidnaps him.
He was the first person Joe put in the cage and was the one who kicked off this tradition. Joe kept him in there for days, testing him, before poisoning him with peanut oil. He then removes all his teeth and burns the body, making Beck safe again.
4) Peach Salinger

Both Peach and Joe wanted one thing, Beck, and both of them had twisted ways of getting what they wanted. While Joe wanted Beck by removing anyone extra in her life, Peach, on the other hand, did that by removing all career opportunities that came Beck's way.
And both of them hated each other. So, before Peach could make her move, Joe decided to act first. He entered her house and fatally shot her, and then he staged it as a suicide.
3) Delilah Alves

The most heartbreaking death on the series, behind Beck, is Delilah's. She was one of the favourite characters of Season 2. She was smart, sassy, confident, and a great older sister. If only she weren't onto Joe. Her search for truth landed her in Joe's cage, and her plan of telling the truth to the police landed her in a grave.
Her death came as a shock for two reasons: one, because Joe had no intention of killing her, and two, because he didn't, and Love did. Joe's expression represented how fans felt when he found her corpse.
2) Guinevere Beck

The most heartbreaking death in the series, without a doubt, is Beck's. This was the only death Joe was haunted by and felt guilty for. She was the only girl he claimed he loved purely, and what does he do when she finds out his truth? He throws her in the cage.
She does everything to save herself, she manipulates, she fights, even begs, but in the end, Joe strangles her brutally, ending her life and her promising career. Honestly, her death is 50% on Joe and 50% on Paco. He was the one who told her about the open tile in the bathroom and ran away instead of opening the door for her.
1) Love Quinn

Love was Joe's perfect match, but he just never understood that. Love was already what Joe took five seasons to become. Season 5, Joe would have fallen in love with her all over again. She loved fiercely, passionately, and deadly. In the Season 3 final battle, when Love prepared to kill Joe with a paralyzing agent, he was already two steps ahead of her, ready with an antidote.
He poisoned her instead and calmly watched her die. Then he covered his crime by setting their house on fire with Love still inside, destroying her and any evidence that could potentially point to him.
The magic of You is that it made everyone root for a serial killer. Every murder revealed how Joe's brain worked and how easily murders could be justified by charm. The show gave us drama, thrill, and a ton of heartbreak. Let's hope it didn't give anyone any ideas.
