In another version of The Savant's postponement on Apple TV, the latest French drama, The Hunt, has now been scrubbed off the network ahead of its scheduled release. From its place in upcoming TV shows to its trailer, every mention of the upcoming show, previously slated for a December 3 release, has now been removed.

This removal comes in light of a similar action by the network with its September release, The Savant, which was postponed indefinitely due to a tumultuous political climate. The streaming giant has not made any comments regarding this cancellation as of now, but the removal of The Hunt now sets a pattern for the network.

Here's everything we know about the controversial move from Apple TV.

The Hunt, originally announced as a French-language paranoid thriller drama, followed a group of hunters who had now become the hunted. Franck and his group of friends, who enjoy hunting on the weekends, find themselves being hunted and targeted for no reason. Stuck in a web of paranoid violence, Franck and his wife, Krystel, are convinced that they are being chased by someone who wants revenge.

Hailing from the César-nominated director Cédric Anger, The Hunt starred Benoît Magimel as Franck and Mélanie Laurent as Krystel and was slated for a premiere on December 3 with its first two episodes. Following the premiere, the series was set to release weekly episodes until December 31.

All of these plans, it turns out, have been cancelled as the streamer suspiciously removes the series' existence from its platforms. The press release announcing the series was removed from the Apple TV PR newsroom, and the official trailer, released ahead of the premiere on YouTube, is now marked private. The trailer is only available currently on the Apple Australia YouTube channel.

Such an action is not a first for Apple TV. In September, the streamer announced that it was postponing the release of its upcoming show, The Savant. The official statement announcing this said:

"After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone The Savant. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date."

Even though the official statement announced that the series would be released at a future date, two months in, no such release date has been announced. The postponement of The Savant was announced in light of the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk.

The Hunt's removal, on the other hand, did not receive any official statement from the streamer. While The Savant continues to appear on the arriving later tab on Apple TV, the same cannot be said for The Hunt. It is not clear, as of now, what might've motivated such an action from the streaming giant, but one thing's for sure: this pattern does not bode well for Apple TV.
