Meanwhile, the show’s team has expressed their wish to continue the story of Mickey Haller. In an interview with TV Insider, co-showrunner Ted Humphrey said they want to work on the fourth season, but Netflix is awaiting the ratings of season 3. He stated,
“We’re in the hands of the audience. We’re quietly optimistic about it, but obviously, with Netflix, it always depends on how the current season goes.”
Humphrey added:
“And so I would say to our fans and viewers of the show, if you want a fourth season, which we very much want to bring you a fourth season, then by all means watch and tell your friends.”
From the story point of view, there is a lot left to be said, as Michael Connelly has written seven novels about Mickey Haller. The show has till now adapted three books from the series, so there is no dearth of source material.
The first three seasons have followed a yearly release schedule since 2022. If the same trend is followed, and the series is renewed in the upcoming days, we can expect The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 to be released on Netflix by the end of 2025.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4: Story Details
The previous season ended with a twist that put Mickey Haller’s future in jeopardy. After winning Julian La Cosse’s case and uncovering the truth about Glory Days’s death, the lawyer finds the dead body of a man in his car’s trunk. The man turns out to be one of his former clients, Sam Scales.
In the next season, Haller will possibly become a suspect in the case and run into trouble with the authorities. This plot was featured in Connelly's 2020 book The Law of Innocence. As per the novel, Haller will be arrested over the charges of murder.
After defending several clients over the years, the lawyer will have to defend himself in court. He will have to prove his innocence with the support of his team and friends. Haller will also have to figure out who framed him in the murder case and with what motives.
