Why is Bryan interested in Amaya on Love Island USA?

Bryan and Amaya have seen to hit it off on Love Island USA and in the most recent episode, even shared a deep, passionate kiss while in the Speakeasy. However, what led to this connection because when Bryan entered Casa Amor, he had his eyes set on Andreina, the bombshell.

It all started when Bryan revealed that his relationship with Andreina was falling apart. Even though they were together as a connection at the beginning and had some fun moments, he revealed to the boys that it must have been a "physical" thing because they could not talk much about things.

Then came the "Stand on Business" challenge where islanders were required to write postcards to each other letting them know their true feelings. During this, Amaya's ex connections such as Ace and Austin were ganging up on her, claiming that she is too much to handle and seems to be always crying.

Zak, who was her current connection at the time, also joined the group and started blaming Amaya. Seeing that no one was standing up for her, Bryan chimed in and claimed that, belonging to a Hispanic household, calling someone "babe," or "mi amor," or even showing affection, is not an out-of-ordinary thing and happens often.

All of this led to Amaya and Zak falling apart in their romantic relationship. While Bryan was with Andreina, in the most recent dumping, it was seen that the latter was eliminated from the Love Island USA villa. This gave Bryan a chance to explore more connections and he had his eyes set on Amaya.

Even while talking to the Love Island USA boys, he made it clear that he had no issues when it came to handling emotions because he had been brought up in the same environment. While talking to Amaya, he said,

"I told you, like, I don't want you to change anything. I wanna meet you for you. Like, what they say is what they say. The cons they say is pros to me. So I don't want you to change anything..."

He added,

"Don't let sh*t that was said change you, because someone like me, loves that type of sh*t. So I don't want you to feel like you got to slow down or change up on how you are. I love someone that's passionate, shows you care."

During his confession on Love Island USA, Bryan said that he had felt physical chemistry with Amaya during the challenge, during which he had chosen to kiss her. He mentioned how the pace also feels right to him and he would like to move in the same way.

Amaya reciprocated the feeling and said that he gives off a very "safe" and "calm" aura. Making his feelings known, Bryan finally expressed that he wants to explore the connection with her because she ticks off all his boxes.
