Ryan Seacrest joins Wheel of Fortune as the new host
After entertaining fans and viewers for decades, legendary host Pat Sajak has bid farewell to Wheel of Fortune. Following his departure from the famous show, former American Idol host Ryan Seacrest will now be seen hosting Wheel of Fortune.
In his farewell message (via Wheel of Fortune YT), Sajak expressed his gratitude to the viewers who always supported his work and enjoyed the show. The host said:
"I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go. And I want to start with all of you watching out there... It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes, night after night, year after year, decade after decade."
He added,
"And I always felt that the privilege came with the responsibility to keep this daily half-hour a safe place for family fun. No social issues. No politics. Nothing embarrassing, I hope. Just a game. But gradually it became more than that."
While many fans might miss watching Sajak as the show's biggest entertainer, Ryan Seacrest will make sure to leave a lasting impact as well. He also posted on his Instagram, a picture with the giant spinning wheel and captioned his experience.
The television presenter shared the video during his set visit and wrote that he was "spinning with excitement" after witnessing the enormous set of Wheel of Fortune. In another appreciation post, Ryan Seacrest highlighted Pat Sajak and Vanna White's contribution to making a hit TV show and expressed gratitude to have been given the opportunity after Sajak's more than forty-year run.
Is Vanna White leaving Wheel of Fortune?
Rumors spread rapidly about Vanna White quitting Wheel of Fortune amid Ryan Seacrest's arrival. The internet has been speculating if White is having issues in adjusting with Seacrest as the new host, after years of working with Pat Sajak.
However, Vanna White shut all the rumors suggesting her tough time on Wheel of Fortune with an adorable picture with her new co-host.
She wrote:
"Friends on and off camera. Enjoying one of our favorites, Chicken and Dumplings."
This post came weeks after a Daily Mail source reported that:
"She [Vanna White] just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to... There is just no way that she possibly could."
Vanna White joined the ABC game show in 1983, and since then she has managed to engage fans through her unmatched talent. The outlet's insider even suggested that White's contract with Wheel of Fortune will end in some time, but she's eager to leave soon.
However, none of these have been confirmed by the host or ABC, hinting that Vanna White has no ill will toward Ryan Seacrest, and the co-hosts are enjoying the game!
