2 Broke Girls is the type of sitcom that will get you hooked right from the very start. The unique premise of the series makes us viewers eager to see what happens in the lives of the girls, Max Black and Caroline Channing. Though Calorine grew up in an affluent family, Max’s life was always filled with poverty.
Hence, her storyline through the series is truly an intriguing one. She goes through many ups and downs throughout the series. However, amongst all her experiences, her love life is definitely worth investing in. Max had many relationships throughout 2 Broke Girls. However, in the end, she ends up with Randy.
Max’s relationship with Randy in 2 Broke Girls
The main aspect of Randy’s character that grabs the attention of the viewers is his sense of humor. He has quite a similar sense of humor to Max. Hence, this similar aspect helps their bond to grow further through the season. While Caroline and Max went on their very first trip to Hollywood, they came across Randy.

This was their very first meeting. Despite meeting for the very first time, Max and Randy hit it off right away. Their energy matched, and their relationship evolved from there. However, their good times did not last long. They broke up because of the distance.
However, their breakup does not last long as Randy finally understands that Max is the one for him. He comes to New York and then to the diner in order to win Max back. In the sixth season of 2 Broke Girls, we see Randy finally proposing to Max.
It is truly a heartwarming moment for the viewers to see Max finally get her happy ending. At the end of 2 Broke Girls, Max is engaged to Randy. Though we, the fans, were not fortunate enough to see Randy and Max’s wedding in the end, we can at least feel happy that they were engaged.
Randy’s words in 2 Broke Girls, while he proposes to Max, are truly heartwarming. While Max is questioning his intentions, Randy says,
“ Max, I’ve been crazy about you since the moment I met you. I don’t want to live without you.”
Randy then drops to one knee and asks Max to marry him. Later, Caroline arrives and sees that Max is engaged. She is completely ecstatic. Her reaction truly shows how much she cares about her.

Max and Randy’s happy ending was truly a great addition to Max’s character arc in the series. Max’s personal growth through the series made her a remarkable character. In an interview, Kat Dennings speaks about her character,
“I just love how real Max is. I’m from Pennsylvania, so I was in New York a lot and my brother lives in New York. I’m very familiar with New York girls, and I just love how gutsy and real they are. Max is so hard working. All she has to think about are her jobs and her rent. She’s never really had a moment to relax. It’s nice to watch that journey unfold.”
