The series was directed by Benjamin Edward Meara Stiller, commonly known as Ben Stiller. Stiller is an American actor, filmmaker, and comedian whose movies have performed well at theatres, especially in Canada and the US, in recent years.

Born to actors and comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, Stiller began his career writing mockumentaries and parodies of famous films.

One of his earlier parodies, The Hustler of Money, gained him enough attention and even aired on Saturday Night Live in 1987. Two years later, he was offered the role of a writer on the show.

He later left the show as a featured performer because they didn't want him to write short films. However, he continued writing short films starring friends and fellow actors.
