Now that she has returned to the show in Season 4, fans want to jog down their memories and learn more about Claire Conway in The Morning Show. Well, Claire is the former assistant of Bradley Jackson, who had a central role in Season 1.

Who is Claire Conway on The Morning Show?
Claire Conway is a former production assistant on The Morning Show, who worked behind the cameras to ensure the smooth functioning of TMS. She helped Bradley Jackson settle in when she first arrived at UBA as a new reporter. She was perceived as a friendly and supportive woman who was eager to advance in her career, although she was still uncertain about her future.
However, things became complicated when Claire started a secret affair with Yanko Flores, the show’s weatherman. Since office relationships were being closely monitored after the Mitch Kessler scandal, Claire and Yanko attempted to keep their romance discreet.
When HR questioned them about it, Claire felt uncomfortable and scared that she could lose her job. She cared about Yanko, but she also felt nervous about people judging her. Hence, she decided to end their relationship.
While covering the California wildfires, Claire discovered new story leads and demonstrated her effectiveness in her role. This helped her become Bradley’s assistant, a significant step in her career. At the same time, she argued with her coworker Hannah Shoenfeld, who had reported her relationship to HR.
Claire later felt guilty for how she treated Hannah, but before she could explain herself, Hannah died from an overdose. Claire was heartbroken when she found her body and blamed herself for not making things right at the right time.
After Hannah’s death, Claire decided she could no longer stay at The Morning Show. She quit her job and returned to school, hoping for a fresh start. Later, she met Yanko again and told him she was helping Hannah’s family with their lawsuit against UBA. Season 2, Episode 9 marked her final appearance in the series until she returned in Season 4.
Claire Conway’s comeback in The Morning Show Season 4
After spending almost two seasons away from the screens, Claire Conway has returned to The Morning Show in Season 4, with Bel Powley reprising her role. In the second episode of the season, Charlie "Chip" Black deduces that Claire could be the anonymous source who has been helping Bradley with the Martel Chemical Plant case.
Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt talked about Claire’s return in an interview with The Wrap and teased that she still has unfinished business in the show, which is why she is being brought back:
“She didn’t get justice in regards to Hannah’s death … I think she’s decided to become more radical. The show is always asking ‘How can you achieve change?’ Alex represents trying to change things from the inside. Bradley straddles inside and outside, and is a little split on either space. Claire is very definitely on the outside.”
Stoudt added that Claire’s relationship with Yanko will be explored yet again in The Morning Show Season 4, as there are unresolved feelings between the two.
New episodes of The Morning Show, Season 4, are released on Apple TV+ every Wednesday.
