Chrissy Beppo began her journey on Superman and Lois as a local reporter whose activities were mostly limited to the boundaries of Smallville. Her contributions to the Smallville Gazette reached a new height after she was joined in her efforts by Lois Lane, with whom she continues to share an important bond that allows the two to often put themselves in harm's way to get the big scoop for the paper.

I think this season, once she enlists Lois to come and work with the Gazette, I think that she also realizes that there is a strength in numbers. I feel that, in my day-to-day life, I usually bite off more than I can chew. I would like to say that I am hardworking, and I think being able to ask for help and to say what you mean is something that I really love about her, that I can not only relate to but hopefully that I can learn from."
