News of season renewals has been keeping the fans of the shows excited as we get to a new month in 2025.

Recently, it was announced that Fox has renewed popular adult animation shows such as The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy for multiple seasons, which is a delightful announcement for fans of the shows globally.

Season renewals: The Simpsons has been renewed for multiple seasons in a rare deal

After the 2024 deal between Fox Entertainment and Hulu regarding the content-driven partnership, the season renewals of the popular adult animation show The Simpsons were recently announced. As per Deadline, the show has been renewed for four more seasons and will be airing till 2028-29, which aligns with the contract between Fox and Hulu.

Not only that, but shows like Family Guy, Bob’s Bugers, and even American Dad! have been included in the season renewals agreement.

The Simpsons, which has aired 36 seasons and is one of the most beloved adult animation shows globally, will complete its 40 seasons in 2029 due to the new deal. Moreover, Family Guy is renewed until its season 27, Bob’s Bugers until season 19, and American Dad! will be moved to Fox from TBS and will air upcoming seasons on the network for four years until 2029.

As per Deadline, the new season renewals might air 15 episodes due to financial constraints that networks have been suffering from recently.

According to Deadline, Michael Thorn, President of Fox TV Network, stated:

"This new deal celebrates the eternal popularity of these iconic comedies, as well as the enduring, prolific relationship we continue to enjoy with our friends at 20th Television Animation and the brilliant creators – that goes double for Seth this time around — and incredible voices behind these contemporary classics."

Apart from Thorn, CEO of Fox Entertainment, Rob Wade, also reaffirmed how the new deal is a success and will ensure they produce good content. He said:

"The longevity of this agreement reaffirms our commitment to the successful partnership we’ve built with the incredible team at Disney. This collaboration has and will continue to generate meaningful long-term value and strategically build audiences from Fox to Hulu to fans worldwide."

Furthermore, the head of 20th Television Animation, Marci Proietto, also said how proud he was about this rare deal of season renewals by Fox and Hulu. He said:

"We are so proud that these legendary shows will continue for hundreds of more episodes, allowing new and longstanding fans to watch, rewatch and experience more of The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and Bob’s Burgers for years to come."

More on season renewals

Other than this rare feet of Fox’s four-year renewal of acclaimed shows, many other shows have been renewed this month.

Shondaland's Grey’s Anatomy is said to return for season 22 with 18 episodes on ABC. Other than that, ABC has also renewed The Rookie, Shifting Geras, 911, and Will Trent.

Moreover, CBS has also renewed popular shows like Matlock, Tracker, Fire Country, and many more.

NBC has also renewed its top show, St. Denis Medical, for a second season 2.
