What is The Edge of Sleep about?
Dave is a nighttime watchman who, after ending his duties for the day, discovers that the people of the whole town have mysteriously died. This has left the town in an eerie silence and a world devoid of life. Dave is shocked to make this horrifying discovery and decides to dive deep into its root cause.
He soon discovers that the truth behind this horrifying event lies in the hallucinations and dreams he has been having since childhood. They contain weird image shapes, an equilateral triangle, a whale, and most importantly, a grotesque elephant monster.
To understand the meaning behind this, Dave, along with his co-workers Matteo, Katie, and Linda, enters a dream in which they must not succumb to death. The group discovers shocking truths about dreams and the evil that is plaguing people's minds in their dreams.
How to stream The Edge of Sleep?
The show premiered on October 15, 2024 with six episodes. Markiplier announced on his YouTube channel that the show will be released on October 18, 2024. However, the entirety of the series was available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on October 15, 2024, in the US.
The streaming platform did not market the series, and the title was silently added to its library. Currently, there is no official trailer for The Edge of Sleep on Amazon Prime Video's YouTube channel. Despite this, the show quickly climbed into Prime Video's Top 10 and was at no. 6 or 7 the weekend after its release.
There is no confirmation that the series will be available on Markplier or the show's official YouTube channel. As of now, the show is only available on Amazon Prime Video. The Edge of Sleep has not officially announced a season 2, but fans are expecting the series to make a comeback.
