Love Is Blind Season 7 stars Tim Godbee and Alexandra Byrd called off their engagement during episode 10. The couple was hindered by major communication problems, and it seemed impossible for them to resolve them to move ahead. After getting engaged in the pods, the couple headed on the journey to find out more about each other.
Tim and Alex discussed from the very first date, how important their families were to them. It became a vital connecting chain in their relationship. As soon as they entered the real world, their first step was to go and meet Alex's family, and get their approval.
Alex was scared that her father might appear hesitant towards their way of taking such a big step through a social experiment. However, Tim won over him with a sweet note, asking for Alex's hand.
As the couple approached the big day, Tim's parents visited the couple. But things did not go smoothly after that. As they sat to have a conversation, the couple realized they were in deep waters. Tim came with a resolved mind to call off their upcoming wedding.
The couple parted ways on a sad note, where Tim appeared a bit strict. However, Tim took to his Instagram just after leaving the show on how his efforts were washed down with a non-serious attitude.
Love Is Blind Season 7 star Tim opened up about his break up with Alex.
Love Is Blind Season 7 star Tim Godbee took to his Instagram on October 16, just after the release of episodes 10 and 11. As the episode aired, fans got to know about the couple's break up. The reason for the breakup, as Tim believed, was Alex's unresponsive nature, and lack of sincere efforts.
As far as the audience is concerned, they only get to see a brief tussle, where Tim felt disrespected because Alex took a nap, while his parents were still there, as soon as the cameras went off. He also had a problem with Alex not being appreciative of the efforts that he took for her family and the relationship.
Tim posted a long note along with a caption describing his experience on Love Is Blind Season 7 in his Instagram post. The note mentioned how his constant attempts were let down by being lack of accountability. He further added that he was trying his best to avoid the tough conversations on camera. But could not bear any form of disrespect towards his family.
The note also stated:
"Through hours of tough conversations that weren't seen, I made the decision to remove myself from what felt like a toxic situation where I was being manipulated and given no serious effort from my partner. I truly believe if someone displayed the same behavior to a partner and the genders [were] reversed, the conversation around our story would be entirely different."
Love Is Blind Season 7 is one week away from the finale which is scheduled to be released on October 23. Fans are eager to witness how things will turn out when the ex-couple Tim and Alex will meet each other. Alex had not come up with any post on social media so far, but in an interview with Today on October 17, the Love Is Blind star mentioned:
"He wanted me to express more on why I was upset. I made it clear that I wasn’t upset with him. I was just thinking about home and family, and I guess at the time he just didn’t like that answer. It just kind of intensified after that because if you’re saying one thing and the other person doesn’t believe you, we’re not really going anywhere. It’s going to build up."
Love Is Blind season 7 episodes 10 and 11 aired on October 16, 2024, on Netflix.
