The first show on our list is Big Shot, featuring John Stamos as the titular character Marvyn Korn, an NCAA basketball coach demoted to being an all-girls high school basketball coach. This happens after Marvyn fails to control his frustration during a match, and throws a chair at a referee.

Following the referee's injury, the authorities decided to demote Korn and made him a high-school basketball coach. He initially dislikes his job, but later discovers that the all-girls team requires tough training.

As the series progresses, Marvyn Korn and his team see a significant individual and team growth. While training the players, the coach also delves into comedic interactions, which sets an engaging tone for the series.


2) Red Swan

Genre: Romance-Revenge Drama

Following the growing popularity of K-dramas, the streamer also has several Korean TV series like Red Swan. The show debuted in July 2024 and currently has just one season.

It follows a successful golfer named Oh Wan-soo, who after marrying into a wealthy family, discovers her husband's dark secrets. However, she remains resilient and teams up with her bodyguard Seo yo-Doon to dig deeper into the dark reality of the Hwain group.


3) Just Beyond

Halloween arrives next month and how can we not add a horror pick,? This one also comes with an intriguing narrative. This anthology series follows the episodic structure with standalone stories, featuring a talented cast ensemble of actors including Mckenna Grace, Cyrus Arnold, Logan Evan Gray, and more.

As the title suggests, Just Beyond is set in a parallel world dominated by aliens, witches, and terrifying ghosts. The series is a blend of supernatural elements and self-discovery, as the characters give it their all to tackle the various challenges in the show.


4) Inside Out 2

Disney+ has some of the best-animated films and shows that never fail to impress viewers worldwide. And for this weekend, Inside Out 2 would be a great choice if you wish to enjoy a film with your family.

It follows the journey of an adorable teenager, Riley, who is navigating the challenges of adolescence. While preparing for her school's hockey tournament, Riley must ensure control over her emotions. The second installment is set two years before the events of the first film, focusing on Riley's growing anxiety and insecurities about herself.


5) Young Woman and the Sea

Genre: American Biography

Young Woman and the Sea is a 2024 biographical film on the streamer, exploring the challenges and success of Gertrude "Trudy" Ederle, the first woman to have swam across the English Channel. This goes back to the 1920s when women were still dominated by society, trying to push them back.

However, Ederle didn't give up on her goal, and she endured every pain and struggle to leave an irreversible mark. Actress Daisy Ridley plays the titular character, with other talented cast members playing supporting roles.
