Timothée Chalamet's appearance on Homeland was so life-changing for the A Complete Unknown actor that he has not appeared on any television show since. When asked if the Wonka actor would return to TV shows, he was quick and decisive, saying simply, "No." The Vogue writer went on to note that this denial was clear and self-assured, leaving no room for an "appointment HBO programming," a "slick FX series," or even the "right project" from the right director.

So, Timothée Chalamet will not be returning to TV shows, no matter the project or the director involved.

Chalamet has always been a "free and independent thinker," as described by his Marty Supreme co-star Gwyneth Paltrow:

"I love that he’s such a free and independent thinker. You know how a lot of us in conversation are like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah’? He’s sort of like, ‘No….’ He’s always running things through the filter of, ‘How do I actually feel about this?’ "

The Dune actor, whose emotional Screen Actors Guild Awards speech after winning Best Actor for A Complete Unknown drew wide attention and made it clear that he has big goals. It shows he's willing to put in even bigger efforts to accomplish them:

"I know we’re in a subjective business, but the truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness....I want to be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats; I’m inspired by the greats here tonight. I’m as inspired by Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando and Viola Davis as I am by Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps, and I want to be up there."

The seven-time SAG Award nominee and two-time Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet has clear ambitions and the drive to achieve them. And if TV shows don't align with those goals, then they simply don't.

Marty Supreme, set to have a theatrical release on December 25, 2025, is a story about:

"Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness."
