The Terminal List: Dark Wolf Episode 6 recap: The trap is sprung

The episode opens with Raife abandoning the tortured German intelligence officer's body in a church, a haunting image of how far he's fallen. Ben, battered from the bombing, patches himself up and rejoins Haverford's team in Stein, Germany. The group realizes that their mission has been compromised, the Germans were running their own disruption operation with fake bearings, and Shepherd (Vahid) used them as pawns to stop.

What follows is a brutal shift: Haverford captures Vahid and, after extracting intel, executes him. Ben is ready to press forward, but Raife's conscience kicks in. He can no longer stomach the shadow war. In a rare moment of honesty, Raife warns Ben that his path will kill him and walks away.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf Episode 6 recap: Shepherd's real identity and Haverford's motives revealed

Ben doubles down on the mission. With Landry now fully on board, the team poses as Khalid agents to deliver fake bearings to Minister Yousef at a private airfield. What should have been a simple exchange goes awry when Yousef begins testing the bearings. The revelation shakes Ben, Mo, and Landry, but they go along with it and take the money.

The twist changes everything. By investigating Haverford's communication with the Shepherd, Tal discovers that Haverford had been acting on his own. He’s been using them to get real bearings. It turns out Cyrus Rahimi (Yousef's ally and Vahid's brother) is the real Shepherd, positioned to halt the weapons program later from within. It's espionage layered on espionage, and the team is done being used.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf Episode 6 recap: Ben decides to take back the bearings

Ben makes a choice. He's determined to reclaim the bearings. What follows is a highly intense action sequence. Yousef's entire entourage is wiped out, and Ben finally kills Yousef by cutting his hand. But victory is short-lived. Back at the base, they discover Haverford has betrayed them. He filed a report with the CIA branding Ben, Mo, and Raife as rogue operatives aiding Iran.

Varon arrives with proof that Haverford is colluding with Cyrus, but without any solid evidence, so they are still fugitives. Ben declares they still have one card left: the real bearings. The game isn't over.

Episode 6 is relentless, tense, and morally grey. It portrays how Ben refuses to be anyone's pawn. The reveal of Cyrus as Shepherd reframes the entire conspiracy. While the team is called traitors, they hold the very item that could ignite a war. Expect a fierce showdown in the final episode.
