A quick recap of The Old Man Season 2 Episode 6
The sixth episode of season 2 of The Old Man begins with Dan having a nightmare about Young Abbey while on a plane with Zoe. On the plane, Chase shows Zoe a strange ritual he does before going on a mission. They talk about how to deal with stress in Chase's job. Zoe asks Chase about his faith but gets vague answers.
Just as Harper is beginning to get an idea of what is going on, the phone rings and it is his wife, who has all sorts of ideas about her husband's involvement with this rogue spy. She reminds him that Morgan Bote has been to their house and wants to see her husband.
Bote and Harper exchange information about the plight of the Assistant Director of the FBI. He asks Bote to get hold of Chase's daughter Emily, who was staying at his agency under the name Angela Adams.
Bote explains that he can use Angela to salvage Harper's situation and possibly save him from having his reputation ruined in public. Bote offers Harper his support, but Harper is still unsure if he is willing to use Angela as a pawn to save himself. Meanwhile, Bote's task force - a team including Julian Carson, Agent Waters, and hitman Mike - arrive in Tunis.
Does Suleyman Pavloch help Dan Chase in The Old Man?
A flashback in The Old Man shows young Dan Chase watching over Pavlovich as he escapes from Hamzad's camp after being severely tortured. It is later revealed that the young Hamzad discovered that Belour had been spying on him, and probably even escaped with Pavlovich with Chase’s assistance.
In the final episode of the series, Harper finally agrees with Angela after she convinces him to let her take the blame for all his betrayals. However, at the airport exit, Agent Waters is waiting to arrest Harper. Harper's suspicions are heightened when he rushes back to find Angela, but finds her gone.
Chase goes to Suleyman Pavlovich and asks him to help him kill Hamzad. He spared Hamzad's life earlier, and Hamzad hates Pavlovich and Chase in return. So it would only make sense that Pavlovich would be willing to help Chase.
It can be seen in The Old Man that Pavlovich refuses to help Chase. He tells Chase that Hamzad's lawyer, Nina Kruger, has met with him and brokered a deal that will ensure that Hamzad will not touch Pavlovich if Chase is found. Things have gone berserk, with the henchmen opening fire on Chase. He reunites with Zoe, who refuses the deal offered by Kruger. They escape from Pavlovich's estate in a boat, but are caught by the local authorities.
Ironically, Harper appears from the helicopter and explains that Bote has kidnapped Angela/Emily. So, the episode ends with the long-awaited team-up of Angela's two fathers to save her from certain doom.
Where and how do Chase and Zoe find Hamzad's lawyer in The Old Man?
When Dan Chase finally finds out that Suleyman Pavlovic wants to kill both him and Zoe McDonald, they return to London to find Faraz Hamzad's lawyer, Nina Kruger, and find out why they are being targeted.
Chase and Zoe track Nina down to the isolated house. There, behind the shutters, he finds Kruger tied up in a chair. Her face is exposed to the poisonous gas that will kill her, and a masked man is searching for something of value.
Chase fights and kills the man. He then drags the dying lawyer outside, where she tells the two Americans to find a flash drive she has hidden. As she explains what it contains, the lawyer dies from prolonged exposure to the deadly gas. Chase and Zoe find the flash drive and play a video clip about the contents of the pen drive just as the episode wraps.
