The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 8 recap: How did Thony find out about Ramona's involvement in Vanessa's death?

The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 8 'I Heard it Through the Grapevine' was released on May 13, 2025, at 8 pm ET on Fox. As the crime drama series is nearing the season finale, things are turning messier for Thony and the Sanchezes. Here's what happened:

Previously, in The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 7, the viewers saw Ramona's plan with the Hellers to get her out of prison, backfire. She failed to keep up with the demands of the Hellers. Thony was attacked and shot by Heller's men in the Sanchez mansion. Ramona saved Thony from the attack and took her to Fiona's house. Dr. DuPont and Ramona were successful in taking out the bullet and saving the cartel wife's life. However, Thony overheard the doctor's and Ramona's conversation, which made her doubt Ramona's involvement in Jorge's first wife Vanessa's death. Elsewhere, when Sam Heller failed to secure a mining deal with Jorge, he ordered his men to attack the Sanchez mansion and steal the mining deeds.

How did Thony find out about Ramona's involvement in Vanessa's death in The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 8?

When Thony overheard the doctor and Ramona's conversation, she knew that Ramona was hiding something about Vanessa's death. She came to know that someone called Carl was responsible for Vanessa's death. When she began to investigate the death of Jorge's first wife, Vanessa, the first clue she got was from Vanessa's tablet. She found out that Vanessa and Bianca shared a close bond. She went to Bianca to procure more details of Vanessa's death. Bianca revealed that a Latino woman had been keeping an eye on Vanessa, days before her death. On the other hand, Ramona hired a bodyguard called Alejandra for Thony's safety. Interestingly, she looked quite similar to Vanessa's stalker.

Thony, however, continued with the search, and she came across Carl, the driver who was accused of Vanessa's death. However, Carl's confession cleared up a few things- First, he was framed for Vanessa's death, and second, he encountered Ramona and another mysterious man with a cowboy hat the night of Vanessa's death. Thony tried to talk to ADA Herman about the incident, but he did not pay any attention.

When Jorge learned about the events, he confronted his sister. Ramona confessed to the crime. Yes, Sin Cara was involved in Vanessa's murder. The reason? Ramona wanted her brother Jorge to be with the cartel, whereas Vanessa was trying to pull him away from the crime world. This angered Jorge, as he tried to kill Ramona.

However, the police arrived and arrested Ramona before Jorge could kill her. At the end of the episode, Jorge left Violeta with Thony while he set out on his mission to track down the mysterious man with the cowboy hat.

The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 8 recap: Why was the mining deed important for Jorge, and how did he try to get it back?

In The Cleaning Lady Season 4 Episode 8, Jorge tried his best to get back the mining deed. Previously, we saw how Sam Heller instructed his men to steal the deed from the Sanchez mission after a failed negotiation. The mining deed mattered to Jorge, not just for business, but the main reason was that the land was a gift from Vanessa. Hence, Jorge, out of revenge, bombed one of Heller's factories, killing several innocent factory workers. However, the Hellers weren't too affected by the explosion or the casualties. Jorge then contacted some of the best bomb makers and planned a deadly attack on another facility run by the Hellers. Although this time, Jorge wasn't too sure of attacking and killing innocents. He was busy tackling his sister Ramona, who confessed to the crime, when the bomber decided to blow up the facility.

When the bomber didn't get any instructions from Jorge, he planned to continue with his explosion. This explosion caused the Hellers to finally agree to meet Jorge and re-evaluate the deed and reach a final decision that suits both of their demands.
