The Challenge star Jenna Compono is opening up about a health scare during her fourth pregnancy. The MTV alum, 32, is currently 22 weeks pregnant and recently revealed that doctors found a Choroid Plexus Cyst (CPC) on her unborn daughter’s brain during her 20-week anatomy scan.
Compono shared the update via Instagram, alongside a photo proudly showing off her baby bump. While it initially sparked concern, the reality star assured fans that genetic testing came back low risk and doctors believe the cyst might resolve itself on its own.
"I had my 20 week sono and they found a CPC seen in right ventricle of her brain (cyst). Genetic testing all came back low risk,”
she wrote.
“The doctors mentioned it might fix itself but everything will be fine.”
The couple has three young children, and this newest update comes as they prepare to welcome baby number four in August 2025.
Baby no. 4 is on the way for The Challenge couple
Jenna Compono and her husband Zach Nichols—both known for their time on The Challenge—are no strangers to parenting. The couple already shares three children: Anthony, 3; Liliana, 2; and Carmella, 13 months. Now, they’re gearing up for the arrival of baby number four.
In January, Compono shared a creative announcement on Instagram. The photo showed their kids sitting below numbered balloons, with a sonogram and a “coming soon” sign under balloon number four. The caption read,
“Because 3 kids wasn’t chaotic enough. Baby #4 coming August 2025.”
In February, the family revealed the baby’s gender through a sweet video. In it, the family stood together outside their front door holding a balloon that read “girl or boy?” When they popped it, pink confetti flew into the air—confirming they’re expecting another baby girl.
Rumors swirl, but The Challenge couple shuts them down
Shortly after the pregnancy announcement, fans of The Challenge started speculating that Jenna and Zach had split. Why? The two appeared to unfollow each other on Instagram. Adding fuel to the gossip fire, Compono posted a Facebook article titled “4 common signs of a narcissist,” which only deepened the speculation.
But it turns out the drama was all talk. A source confirmed to Us Weekly in late February that the couple is still very much together.
“Jenna and Zach are excited about welcoming their 4th baby this year,”
the source said.
“They are very much still together.”
It’s not the first time The Challenge fanbase has read too deeply into social media silence. And it likely won’t be the last. But for now, all signs point to a growing and happy family.
How The Challenge helped shape Jenna and Zach’s public journey
Being part of The Challenge franchise means living life in the spotlight. And for Jenna Compono, that includes sharing personal moments like pregnancy updates and health concerns. But she’s turned her social platform into a space where fans feel connected, supported, and heard.
“I had my 20 week sono…” isn’t just a casual post—it’s a reminder that even reality stars go through the same ups and downs as everyone else. The fact that she invited others to share their CPC stories shows her desire to use her platform for more than just pretty photos.
And with The Challenge fanbase known for being loyal (and a little nosy), it’s refreshing to see someone from the show speak openly—especially about topics that are often misunderstood or feared during pregnancy.
It’s been years since Jenna and Zach first appeared on The Challenge, but they’ve stayed relevant in fans’ minds—and feeds. Whether it’s through baby updates, family photos, or the occasional rumor, the couple remains a part of the extended The Challenge universe.
Fans have followed them through fights, makeups, and milestones. And while their reality TV days might be behind them, their lives continue to be just as eventful. Parenting, especially with four young children, might be the biggest challenge yet.
Still, the couple is proof that real life can be just as dramatic (and heartwarming) as anything seen on The Challenge. From televised competitions to navigating CPC concerns, Jenna continues to show grace, humor, and a bit of that classic reality TV grit.
