FX's The Bear Season 5 is officially confirmed! The psychological comedy-drama series recently released its fourth season on Hulu. Now, the network has renewed it for another season.
Created by Christopher Storer, the show follows the lives of Carmy, Sydney, and Richie, who struggle to keep their fine dining business afloat. The show has won 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and is praised for its intense pacing and brilliant dialogue.
Storer also serves as one of the executive producers along with Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube.
While the Season 4 finale teased a change of partnership and leadership at the titular restaurant, The Bear Season 5 will see the return of actor Jeremy Allen White as Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto, alongside Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
The cast of the show also includes Liza Colón-Zayas, Oliver Platt, Matty Matheson, and Lionel Boyce, who are all expected to reprise their characters for the upcoming season.

FX officially renews The Bear Season 5
While the future of FX's hit series looked uncertain due to conflicting cast schedules, the show has been renewed for another season.
Announcing this happy news about The Bear Season 5 to fans, John Landgraf, chairman of FX, said in a statement:
“'The Bear' continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season—as seen through incredibly high viewership—has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons...''
He added:
“Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make ‘The Bear’ one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
While Seasons 3 and 4 have received mixed reactions from fans, the show has largely managed to sustain its quality, and the future of the show looks bright.
The recently released season picked up after Carmy read the average review of his restaurant in the Chicago Tribune, which directly brought The Bear under Cicero and Computer's scrutiny.
The investors gave the restaurant staff two months to earn enough revenue, or their business would be shut down for good.
While many characters had professional wins, like Tina, who managed to get her dish out in under three minutes, Carmy made a difficult choice.
The Bear Season 5 will likely take a different path as Carmy realizes his shortcomings as a leader and his toxic presence in the kitchen for others. After he realized that he no longer enjoyed cooking, he decided to retire from the restaurant industry in the Season 4 finale.
While Carmy promised to stay until The Bear's debts are paid off, Sydney and Richie were made the restaurant's new co-owners, teasing a change in The Bear Season 5.
This suggests that White may have a contained role in the upcoming season. The actor is also set to appear as Bruce Springsteen in the 20th Century Studios biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, which explains his (likely) limited role in The Bear Season 5.
