The Agency Season 2 can’t arrive soon enough. After that finale?? The double agents, impossible deals, and cliffhangers? Every scene has been living in my head rent-free ever since.

Michael Fassbender’s Martian is standing on the edge, and with so many fates hanging in the balance, I can’t stop thinking about what might happen next. However, I do have a few questions of my own, and I hope they get answered in Season 2 for my own peace of mind.

Author’s Note: These are just a few unanswered questions I personally hope The Agency Season 2 explores. As a fan who’s been obsessing since day one, I just need some creative closure on these burning threads.

5 questions that The Agency Season 2 needs to answer (for the sake of my very own personal sanity)

Q1. Can Martian truly survive being a double agent?

Season 1 left Martian in an impossible situation. Betrayed, blackmailed, and now caught between the CIA and MI6, he’s forced to work with the very people who ran him off the road. That final deal with Richardson felt like a death sentence in a polite disguise.

The Agency Season 2 needs to explore what it means for Martian to live this lie. Can he juggle his loyalties without destroying himself? His rebellious side might help him survive for a shorter period of time, but secrets like these always come with a cost. I want to see if Martian’s humanity can hold up under constant deception or if he’ll just become another ghost in the system.

Q2. How will Danny handle her first solo mission in Tehran?

Saura Lightfoot-Leon’s Danny was one of my favorite underdogs in Season 1. Watching her stumble, learn, and finally step into her own was so satisfying. But now, she’s on her first independent assignment in Tehran, with Naomi no longer by her side, and that’s a terrifying leap.

The Agency Season 2 must show us if Danny can make decisions under pressure or if she’ll crack when things go sideways. Iran’s tense political backdrop alone raises the stakes tenfold. This storyline has massive potential, not just for action but for illustrating how novice agents evolve when they’re truly on their own.

Q3. What really happened to Samia and can Martian ever earn her forgiveness?

Let’s talk about Samia for a second, shall we? Her disappearance and rumored imprisonment in Sudan’s Kobar Prison left me holding my breath. Martian made a dangerous deal just to ensure her safety, but the damage between them runs deep.

The Agency Season 2 needs to explore where she’s been, what she’s endured, and whether love can survive after betrayal. Samia’s pain is also professional; she’s a skilled operative who now knows the man she trusted sold secrets to save her. If she returns, I expect fireworks, not reconciliation. I hope the new season finally allows Samia to stand in her power instead of being treated as Martian’s collateral.

Q4. Is Coyote really safe or......?

Coyote’s rescue mission in Season 1 was something I truly enjoyed watching. It had everything to get me excited: explosions, last-minute decisions, and near-death escapes. But just because he’s back doesn’t mean he’s free, does it?

With Coyote, I hope that The Agency Season 2 will explore how his experiences change him and what he plans to do next. After being confined, traded, and even nearly executed, can he really trust the agency that put him through all of this danger?

His understanding of the Russian mission makes him confident that he's a valuable character, but it also makes him a target. I’d love to see if Coyote becomes more than just a pawn or perhaps even a wildcard who refuses to play by the rules anymore.

Q5. Can Martian keep his sanity under all that pressure?

One of the most haunting parts of The Agency Season 1 was watching Martian’s mind slowly open up. Every decision, every betrayal, every loss, and it’s all built up inside him like a ticking time bomb. He’s no longer the same agent we met at the beginning.

In The Agency Season 2, I want that inner conflict to reach its peak. Will he succumb to guilt and manipulation, or will he find a way to outsmart everyone, including Richardson? His fractured mind could be the show’s most intriguing weapon if written well. After all, a spy losing his mind might also be the one who ultimately breaks the system.

If The Agency Season 2 manages to answer even half of these questions, we’re in for one hell of a ride. Between the loyalties, moral compromises, and emotional fallout, this show has created a world where truth is the most dangerous secret of all, and I, for one, can’t wait to see it all unravel.
