Peacemaker Season 2 actors Steve Agee and Sol Rodriguez were interviewed by Collider on Sunday, in which both actors discussed the current season in detail. The actors discussed their respective characters and the frosty relationship between the two. Out of eight, five episodes of the second season have been released on HBO Max.
Steve Agee's John Economos has been working under Sol Rodriguez's Sasha Bordeaux at A.R.G.U.S. for the previous five episodes of Peacemaker Season 2. The HBO series has been highlighting Economos' discontent with his life at A.R.G.U.S., and Rick Flag Sr. has him secretly surveil Christopher Smith, making him feel bitter about his job and everyone in a position of authority in A.R.G.U.S.
One of the authorities in A.R.G.U.S. is Sasha Bordeaux, whom John Economos hates. Agee was the first one to address why John hates Bordeaux in Peacemaker Season 2:
"She’s an authority figure, and we know that, in the past, hasn’t flown well with Economos. He’s had a series of horrible people. Amanda Waller was a horrible person. [Sasha Bordeaux] is not a horrible person, it turns out, but she’s an authority figure. She represents everything that he despises."
Sol Rodriguez then went on to add:
"And she’s making him do things against his friends that, obviously, he doesn’t want to do and it upsets him. So, he hates her."
Steve Agee self-deprecatingly added this to Rodriguez's comments:
"She’s a professional, and he’s an absolute idiot."
In the same interview, the two hyped up the last three episodes of Peacemaker Season 2:
The interview with Collider was specifically focused on Peacemaker Season 2. One of the episode's biggest highlights was when the actors were discussing the upcoming three episodes of this season. Some journalists and online reviewers were provided access to the first five episodes of the second season, and the remaining three were kept secret.
When James Gunn was asked for the reason behind the secrecy, the DC Studios Co-CEO gave this answer to Brandon Davis in the Peacemaker Season 2 premiere:
"It could mean they're terrible [laughs]. That is one option. Or it could mean that there's a lot of major twists and turns in the last three episodes. And even though I'm sending the first five to a select few, things still get out as you know. Things got out already. You know, people who want to search can be spoiled on purpose, but I really don't want what's in those last three episodes to be spoiled. And so I'm keeping them close to the chest. I won't even let my publicist see them. That's the god's honest truth."
Now Steve Agee and Sol Rodriguez echoed James Gunn's sentiments in the Collider interview. When the Collider journalist asked Agee and Rodriguez about the last three episodes, out of which the sixth and eighth episodes are directed by James Gunn. Rodriguez described the last three episodes as "big." While Agee responded:
"The last three episodes are so big. There’s a lot going on. I’m afraid to mention anything from the episodes because they’re so spoiler heavy. My hands are sweating, just treading this ground right now. I don’t know what to say."
Many believe that the alternate dimension is Earth X:
The third episode of Peacemaker Season 2, Another Rick Up My Sleeve, was set up in the alternate dimension. The internet has been rife with rumors that the alternate dimension might be Earth X, the universe in the DC lore in which Fascism won. Fans point out the lack of people of color in the background as proof that this dimension might be racist. But this fan theory is yet to be confirmed; the last three episodes may provide the answer.
