Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan’s friendship cracked and completely imploded, and the spark that lit the fuse was Emma’s boyfriend, Blake Davis. What started as friendly concern spiraled into an all-out showdown that took center stage at the Selling Sunset season 9 reunion. The Netflix hit usually deals in million-dollar listings and dramatic walkouts, but this time, it was pure chaos.
Emma once had Chrishell in her corner, but that alliance is now dust. Throughout the season, Chrishell tried warning Emma about Blake, though not everything made it to air. Then the reunion hit, and things got ugly. Accusations about Blake using racial slurs and saying vile things about the LGBTQ+ community came to light.
Even though Emma dumped him during filming, she’s since gotten back together with him, and that was the final straw for Chrishell. She’s cut ties completely, saying they don’t share the same values anymore. Now the drama’s spilled onto social media, where both are posting, subtweeting, and proving that Selling Sunset sells chaos alongside houses.
What happened between Chrishell and Emma on Selling Sunset?
Season 9 of Selling Sunset showed Chrishell repeatedly raising concerns about Blake to Emma, but much of their dispute was edited out. Speaking to Variety, Chrishell revealed that she spotted numerous warning signs during their first meeting. She described finding "real things to be dangerous with his personality" and called him far from normal.
According to Chrishell, Blake presented himself differently on camera than in private interactions. She accused him of making "extremely problematic" statements that conflicted with her core values. One particularly troubling claim involved Blake allegedly comparing nonbinary individuals to mental illness, a statement that deeply offended Chrishell, whose partner, G-Flip, identifies as nonbinary.
The reunion episode brought even more serious accusations to light. Chrishell claimed that Blake uses racial slurs, while castmate Chelsea suggested Emma had been "brainwashed" by her boyfriend. These allegations painted a darker picture than what viewers saw during the regular season. Blake has since posted threats about suing Chrishell, which she pointed to as evidence of his concerning behavior. She emphasized that anyone meeting him would immediately understand why she didn't want her friend dating him.
Despite ending season 9 on better terms after splitting from Blake, Emma ultimately reunited with him. Blake has posted photos with Emma on Instagram as recently as October 2025, confirming their relationship status.
Chrishell initially tried to separate Emma from Blake's actions, maintaining sympathy for her friend. However, her patience eventually ran out. She told Variety that she came to understand Emma and Blake are "aligned," making their continued friendship impossible.
When asked about potential reconciliation, Chrishell's answer was definitive:
"Never."
She stated she no longer wants Emma in her life, citing fundamentally incompatible morals.
What unfolded later on social media?
The feud has extended beyond the reunion. Chrishell called out Emma on Instagram for allegedly misrepresenting Blake's comments about G-Flip. She accused Emma of fueling hatred toward her partner and their pronoun use.
Chrishell also shared Blake's Instagram stories mocking a curvy Barbie and a Barbie in a wheelchair, citing them as proof of his character. Emma has not directly responded to these accusations, leaving the conflict unresolved as both women move forward separately.
