Shemar Moore’s Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson definitely faced his own set of troubles while navigating complex tasks; however, he never backed down from a challenge. In the series, he took on the role of team leader after a series of incidents that increased tension in the community.

Although he was a distinctive leader with notable qualities, he was demoted after leaking information. As an essential part of the series, Shemar Moore definitely keeps the storyline moving. Some of his other works include The Young and the Restless, Criminal Minds, and more.


2) Stephanie Sigman as Captain Jessica Cortez

During her time playing Jessica Cortez in the series, Stephanie Sigman fully embodied the role. Jessica Cortez’s character arc primarily focused on her love story with Hondo. Additionally, she was involved in the intriguing cases that came her way.

Though Jay Harrington’s Deacon had every right to be antagonistic toward Hondo, his intellect and abilities made him overlook the situation and fully accept Hondo’s talent as a leader. Deacon was supposed to be the team lead instead of Hondo.

However, even though he was not made the team leader, he continued to give his best. He dedicated himself to solving the cases that came his way, demonstrating his deep commitment and passion for his work. Jay Harrington adds a unique flair of intrigue to Deacon’s character, making him feel genuine and relatable. David Lim’s Victor Tan, an indispensable part of the team, has faced numerous challenges in both his personal and professional life. In the first season, we see his relationship with Bonnie blooming quickly, which made us viewers root for them.

However, soon their relationship turned sour after Bonnie’s cheating scandals came to light. David Lim perfectly handled his character with deft hands. Some of his other notable works, besides this series, include Quantico and Hollywood Heights.


5) Patrick St. Esprit as Commander Robert Hicks

Patrick St. Esprit’s Robert Hicks is undeniably an indispensable part of the series. As the one who promoted Hondo over Deacon, Hicks often faced challenges. However, his contribution to the department is truly worth appreciating.

Patrick St. Esprit took the role of Robert Hicks and gave it a completely new light and authenticity. If you examine some of his other works, you will notice how he consistently brings a level of genuine depth to every project he undertakes. Kenny Johnson's characters have been the main focus of numerous movies and TV shows. In this series as well, his performance shines bright with a distinct level of uniqueness. He refuses to make Dominique’s character a one-dimensional one.

Dominique’s injury initially prevented him from fully joining the task force. However, he soon recovered and entered with his full power. Kenny Johnson’s other works that deserve a place in your watchlist are Pensacola: Wings of Gold, The Shield, Saving Grace, Prime Suspect, and many more.


7) Alex Russell as Officer III James "Jim" Street

Alex Russel’s Jim truly tugs at the heartstrings of the viewers, especially because of the manner in which he handles his family and professional life. It cannot be denied that giving equal attention to both these aspects of life can be challenging. Jim also faced troubles because of his commitment to his family.

However, he soon began to up his game. He faced the challenge head-on, making progress with each passing season. Alex Russell’s other works, which are definitely worth watching, include Brampton's Own and Jungle, among others.
