What will Reasonable Doubt Season 3 be about?
Nothing much is currently known about the much anticipated third season of Reasonable Doubt apart from its renewal news. However, it can be expected that regarding the storyline, the third season would be picking up where the second one left off.
The second season mostly followed Jax defending Shanelle, her friend, who had been charged with the murder of JT, her abusive husband. Moreover, it was also revealed over the season that Lewis, Jax’s husband, had an affair with a witness named Toni and was expecting a child with her.
Despite such turbulence, Jax and Lewis seemed to go stronger in this season. Then came the finale with a series of dramatic moments including the revelation that it was Shanelle’s daughter who killed JT to stop him from choking Shanelle and Jax and Lewis finding out that Toni has sued them over the death of the child.
With the story ending at such a crucial juncture, it is very likely that season 3 will pick up from there to focus more on Jax and Lewis as they navigate this new troubles.
Who could be in the cast of Reasonable Doubt Season 3?
Reasonable Doubt Season 2 cast included names like McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Morris Chestnut, Angela Grovey, Aderinsola Olabode, and Thaddeus J. Mixson. Since Chestnut will be starring in Watson, a CBS drama in January, and no official update on the rest of the cast, it is not sure who will be returning for the third season of Reasonable Doubt.
Talking about Morris, Raamla mentioned,
“Morris is amazing, not just on screen but working with him. He’s also booked and busy. He has a whole other show that he’s the lead in, so I was happy to have him in the little window that I could have him.”
The show is executive produced by Raamla Mohamed along with Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone, Larry Wilmore via Wilmore Films, and Anton Cropper.
More on Reasonable Doubt Season 3
Regarding the third season, Corinealdi told On The Red Carpet,
"At the heart of this show is this love story with this Black couple, you know. We've seen the healing in this second season, I want to see the result of that. I want to see them really just trying to figure it out now and really trying to bring their family back together and make it whole again, and bring a little bit of joy, you know, into their life as a result of that."
She also added,
"They've been through a lot. Jax has been through a lot.”
Raamla Mohamed also understands her views and says that Reasonable Doubt Season 3 will possibly see things easing up a bit. She mentioned,
"I really feel like I'd like the show to go from dark to light. A lot of shows go from light to dark and I think we have enough darkness. "There'll still be fun, there'll still be soap and... exciting things to happen. But I think overall, my goal is to watch Jax go into the light!"
