Most of the show is filmed in New York City. Here are some iconic locations-
1. The Belnord
While almost the entirety of the seasons are shot in the Upper West Side and surrounding NYC landmarks like Central Park and Coney Island, the building where the action takes place, Arconia is not. The team uses a studio set that resembles a well-set apartment where scenes for the building's interior are shot.
As for the exteriors of Arconia, Only Murders in the Building uses the exterior, courtyards, and entry gates of the Belnord building in New York. The building is located at 225 W 86th Street and is 13-storeys high and is described as ''the grandest of the Upper West side apartment houses.''
2. Mansion Restauraunt
The Pickle Diner is a favorite eating spot for the main characters and often for their murder suspects.
Mansion Restaurant, located on the Upper East Side at 1634 York Ave, serves as The Pickle Diner in Only Murders at the Building. The Philips family has owned the restaurant since 1945.
3. The United Palace Theater
In many scenes of Only Murders in the Building Season 3, we see a magnificent theater where Short's character's Broadway show is set. The scenes are shot at Washington Heights's United Palace.
Located at 4140 Broadway, the theater has a lavish decor and a magnificent lobby, making it the perfect filming location for a Broadway rehearsal.
Opened in 1930, it is one of the five Loew's Wonder Theatres in New York City.
4. The Lincoln Center for Performing Arts
In Season 1 of Only Murders in the Building, Charles takes up with a bassoonist (played by Amy Ryan). The scene where he attends one of her concerts is shot at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.
One of the most iconic treasures, the Center houses the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Ballet, and the Juilliard School.
