With Squid Game actor Lee Jung-jae, tvN released the new K-drama Nice to Not Meet You in November 2025. It serves as a rom-com, following the story of how a well-known actor and a determined reporter collide.
At the heart of the story is Lim Hyun-joon, who has been in the entertainment industry for years and is known for playing detective roles in most of his projects. And despite the success and fame, Hyun-joon wants something else that would make him feel better.
As seen in the K-drama, Hyun-jun has been planning to take up a role that's completely different from a detective. This means he wants to shift from action to a more light or emotional character in his next project.
And then he meets Wi Jeong-sin, who happens to be a sharp reporter, known for her political coverage. Soon, her career takes a hit when Jeong-sin gets involved in solving a corruption case, and it ultimately results in her being reassigned to the entertainment section.
This is how they met each other, and the drama begins. A few episodes are out, with episode 7 being the latest installment. A detailed recap is right below.
