The chemistry between Bode and Gabriela has been one of the highlights of Fire Country. There have been sparks between the two ever since the inception of the series, and fans love to ship them together.
However, their relationship has always been marked with troubles, and the two decided to move on from each other in Fire Country Season 3. Both Bode and Gabriela now have different love interests in the show; however, audiences are still hoping they will find their way back to each other.
Max Thieriot, who stars in the show as Bode, has opened up about how his dynamics with Gabriela will pan out in the storyline. In an interview with TV Insider, the actor said both Bode and Gabriela are focused on figuring out their lives without each other:
“At this point, what they’ve gone through and in the way that the relationship is progressing with Audrey, I think he’s really trying and really focused on seeing that through.”
“And I think Gabriela is really focused on trying to do what’s best for the two of them and wants to figure out who she is and who she is without the Bode factor in her life.”

Max Thieriot, who is also a co-creator of Fire Country, highlighted that Bode and Gabriela are in a good place individually and are pretty clear about their relationship now:
“And so I think they’re at a good place going forward with each other and what their relationship is.”
However, Max also teased that the last four episodes of Fire Country Season 3 could further change their dynamics. Hinting at some intense moments in the final episodes, the actor revealed:
“I mean, the last four episodes [have some Bode and Gabriela stories]. Certainly, the last three are pretty intense for both of them for a lot of different reasons and are going to involve what’s going on with them together, but also what’s going on with them independently.”
Max further talked about how there has been chemistry between the two characters from the very first episode of the series, and it can still be noticed, though they are not together anymore. Bode is now dating Audrey James, while Gabriela has started seeing Finn, a photographer.
