The showrunner of Netflix's hit romantic drama recently confirmed Virgin River Season 7 before fans enjoy the upcoming sixth chapter. The series centers on fan-favorite Melinda "Mel" Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge), who relocated from Los Angeles to the small town and falls in love with Jack, a retired US Marine and bar owner (played by Martin Henderson).
While talking about Virgin River Season 7 in a conversation with Tudum, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith shared:

This means that Mel and Jack's journey, along with the other key figures in the series, is far from over, as fans will also get a Virgin River Season 7 after the sixth season ends, which will focus on Mel and Jack's most awaited wedding since the being of their love story.
While Season 6 is arriving on December 19, 2024, currently, there's no exact release date for Virgin River Season 7. However, Smith hinted at more challenges after marriage, as the two will begin a new life together. However, fans shouldn't worry about the couple breaking up, as the showrunner explained:
"I can’t imagine creating a scenario where you think Mel and Jack are going to break up. It forces you to dig a little bit deeper into, well, what other issues can they have in their relationship? Especially when you want to keep it through the romance lens."
While Mel and Jack are the titular couple in Virgin River, the series also features other notable duos of different generations, including Hope and Doc, who rekindled their love relationship after years, the young couple Lizzie and Denny, who are excited for their first child, and how can we forget Preacher and Kaia's relationship.
What to expect from Virgin River Season 7?
